Samsung launched 2015 Flagship S6 & S6 Edge in India in a press event in Delhi on 24th March, 2015. Samsung has completely change the design of S6 compare to previous generation S5. Here is all you need to know about Samsung S6 & S6 Edge.
Design
Samsung ditched plastic this time and designed all metal Samsung S6 & S6 Edge. It looks similar to iPhone but according to Phoneradar, this design is inspired from Samsung’s own “Ativ S”. S6 & S6 Edge are beautifully crafted in Metal body with Gorilla Glass 4 protection on front & back. 5.1″ Quad HD Display is powered by Super AMOLED screen with resolution of 2560 X 1440 pixels which comes to 577 ppi.
Software
Samsung S6 & S6 Edge comes with Android 5.0.2 out of the box with Samsung’s TouchWiz on top which is said to have 40% less bloat-ware compare to previous generation. It still has Heart Rate Sensor near Camera flash at back.
Hardware
S6 & S6 Edge are powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 7420 (64 bit) chipset which has Four cores Cortex-A57 clocked at 2.1 GHz and Four cores Cortex-A53 clocked at 1.5 GHz. For gaming both are powered by Mali-T760 GPU and 3 GB RAM. Both variants comes with 3 storage options 32GB, 64GB and 128GB. This time Samsung skipped SD card support hence there is no option to increase memory. Samsung promised 100GB cloud storage from Microsoft’s OneDrive for 2 years. S6 & S6 Edge have 2550 mAh & 2600 mAh battery respectively, which is smaller compare to S5’s 2800 mAh capacity. Samsung claimed to have more battery life because of improved Touchwiz and Power Efficient Exynos 7420
Camera
S6 & S6 Edge, both have 16MP (f/1.9 aperture) rear camera with Optical Image Stabilization, Auto Focus, Face Detection. HDR and many more features. It can record 4K video at 30 fps. Front camera is 5MP which can record 1080p video @ 30 fps. Samsung claimed that it is The Best camera for Selfies.
Availability & Pricing
Both S6 & S6 Edge will be available from 10th April and pre-booking is stated from today. S6 will be available in 4 colours in India i.e. Gold Platinum, White Pearl, Blue Topaz & Black Sapphire. S6 Edge will be available in Gold Platinum, White Pears, Green Emerald & Black Sapphire as mentioned on Samsung India Estore.

Conclusion
Beautifully crafted Samsung’s new Flagship S6 & S6 Edge are claimed to be BEST SmartPhone available, and that is true in respect to hardware, software & design. There are only 2 differences between S6 & S6 Edge, 1. Edge screen on S6 Edge and 2. slightly higher capacity 2600 mAh battery on S6 Edge. As per some reports Samsung have already received large Pre-Orders compare to previous Flagship in several countries. For the price of Rs.49900 (32GB) S6 is really a Must Have device in 2015. Only flip side will be lower capacity Non-removable battery compare to previous generation.
