Chinese manufacturer OPPO announced new R7 series smartphone, Oppo R7s at the GITEX 2015 in Dubai. The device will go on sale next month in countries including Australia, Singapore, Taiwan, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand following USA and Europe later in December. There is no information about pricing yet.
Oppo R7s comes in metal unibody design just like other devices in R7 series. It sports 5.5 inch Full HD Amoled display made out of 2.5D arc edge glass with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The display also has support for Gloved and Wet Touch input. The smartphone comes with hybrid dual sim slot that accepts a micro sim and a nano sim ( or microSD card ). It supports microSD card up to 128GB.

The Oppo R7s is running on ColorOS 2.1 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. It weighs 155 grams and dimensions of the device are 151.8 X 75.4 X 6.95 mm. It is powered by Octa core Snapdragon 615 SoC coupled with Adreno 405 GPU. For storage, there is 32GB internal memory which can be expanded via microSD card (on 2nd sim slot) up to 128GB.
For Photography it features 13MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash along with 8MP front camera (f/2.4 aperture) for selfie shots. The R7s features “Flash Shot” technology that assures fast launch, fast focus and stable imaging. The camera also features Phase Detection Auto Focus and it is said to focus in as fast as 0.1 second.
The 3070 mAh non-removable battery is powering the device and it also comes with “Flash Charging”. Oppo claims, you can get from 0% to 90% battery in just 90 minutes of charging. Oppo R7s supports following 4G LTE bands.

Other connectivity features of the smartphone include, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and USB OTG. The R7s will be available in Golden and Silver colors. There is no word about India launch, will keep you updated on further announcements.
