Lava mobile has launched Lava Icon, new android smartphone. It is a 5″ device with decent specifications and price tag of Rs.11499 and it is available on Snapdeal.

It is a 5 inch device with 720p HD IPS Display and ASAHI Dragontrail Glass protection. It is 7.7mm thick with weight of 143g. It is powered by 1.3GHz Quad-core processor with 2 GB RAM. For memory it has 16GB inbuilt storage with room to expand via SD card up to 32 GB.
Camera on Lava Icon is 13MP Sony BSI-II sensor & f2.0 aperture with LED flash. Front camera is 5MP BSI-II sensor & f2.4 aperture. Camera also features various shooting modes like Panorama, Face Beauty, Smile shot, Face detection & MultiView.
Lava Icon is Dual Sim device with 3G support. It has 2500 mAh Li-po battery which claims approx 9 hours of talk time on 3G & 20 hours on 2G. Lava Icon has all basic connectivity features like WiFi, WiFi tethering, Bluetooth, GPS and USB OTG.
Lava Icon runs on Android Kitkat unlike the latest Android Lollipop, but as it is a latest device by Lava we can expect that it will be upgradeable to Lollipop soon.
For the price of Rs.11499 Lava Icon is slightly over priced looking at the competition from other manufacturers but you get some good features like 13MP main camera & 5MP front camera combination, 16GB internal storage with SD card support up to 32GB, 2GB RAM & 2500 mAh battery for that price.
