1. How to move data from your old phone to Redmi Note 3?

2. How to change Quick Setting toggles in Notification Panel?
When you swipe down from the top, there are 9 setting toggles are visible. You can set your favourite toggles by going to Settings > Notifications > Toggle Positions. Press and hold to move toggles to the desired position.

You can start torch / start LED Flash by pressing Home key for a couple of seconds.

8. How to enable One-handed mode on Redmi Note 3?
Operating 5.5-inch device with one hand might be difficult for people with small hands. MIUI 7 offers and option to enable the One-handed mode where you can reduce the display size up to 3.5-inches. To enable this setting, go to Settings> Additional Settings> One-handed mode, and once you have enabled this- Swipe your finger from the home button to left (Recent) or right (back) to choose where you want it to appear.

To take a screenshot, you have to press the power button and volume down button together. You can also select Screenshot toggle from the notification panel that would help capture a screenshot.

Lite mode provides a simple interface and big icons with minimal customization to add the Apps you use to home screen. To activate Lite mode, go to Settings > Lite Mode > you will be prompted to reboot > click OK and it will boot up in Light Mode.

MIUI 7 provides a feature to hide important / private photos, videos, files and folders without installing third party app. Follow the steps below to hide files & folders.
Open File Explorer app > tap, hold and drag down the screen > draw security pattern / password / fingerprint to open hidden folders.
Tap on 3 dots […] > select add files > select files from internal storage or from SD card > Done.
17. How to Lock apps using Fingerprint Scanner?
Set up fingerprint scanner to unlock your device then follow these steps
Go to Settings > Additional settings > Privacy > Privacy Protection > App lock > unlock with fingerprint or password > select apps you want to lock.
18 How to set SD card as Default Storage?
If you have inserted SD card on Redmi Note 3, you can set it as default storage for photos, music, backup and more. To set SD card as default storage, go to Settings > Additional settings > Storage > Storage settings > select default storage for Backup, Gallery, Music etc.

Sync your all contacts with Google account. Check on desktop that your all contacts are uploaded. Then delete phone and sim contacts. Go to contacts app on phone > menu (by press and hold menu key) > display preferences > configure contact lists > select Google.

I have a redmi note 3. my problem is that I am not getting these mentioned settings such as home screen,lock screen ,dial pad screen settings which I earlier had in the themes menu. I had a couple of downloads in each of the mentioned settings .its quite irritating .please find a solution.

Go to Contacts app and edit contacts you want to add in a Group 1 by 1 > add / select Group name. By following these steps you will create a group of people you want to send a message. Now go to Messaging app > Create new message > click on people icon on top right of the screen > click on Groups > select group you created, this will add all your contacts in that group you want to send a message.

If you are using a single sim, just enable Call Waiting from Call Settings. If you are using Dual sim, this will not work if you are on call and someone is calling you on the second sim as it is a “Dual Sim Dual Standby” device. It works with devices which have “Dual Sim Dual Active” feature.
