Lenovo has launched selfie-centric smartphone, Lenovo VIBE S1 today in India priced at Rs.15999. The device will be available from tonight exclusively on Amazon in Pearl White & Midnight Blue colors. The 5 inch device will compete against Oneplus X as both have similar screen size, 3 GB RAM and price difference of Rs.1000.

The VIBE S1 sports 5 inch 1920 X 1080 Full HD display protected by Gorilla Glass 3. Back of the device also features curved Gorilla Glass protection (like Samsung S6 & Oneplus X) and the edges are made of metal, in all the device looks and feels premium in hand. Dimensions of the device are 143.3 X 70.8 X 7.8 mm and it weighs just 132 gram.
It is powered by Octa core MT6752 clocked at 1.7 GHz paired with Mali-720MP2 GPU. There is 32GB internal storage, out of which approx 24GB is available to user and it has 3 GB RAM. Storage can be expanded via microSD card up to 128GB on second sim slot. The dual sim device has hybrid sim slot so you can either use 2 sim cards or 1 sim card and a microSD card at a time. It also supports 4G bands in India (FDD Band1/3/5/7/8/20; TDD Band 40)
The VIBE S1 is running on Android 5.0 Lollipop with Lenovo’s VIBE UI on top. USP of the device is Dual Selfie camera, an 8MP (f/2.2) camera with BSI sensor and a 2MP camera to analyze depth of field. This gives many creative options to play with image including One-touch Refocus and Background Swap. It has 13MP (f/2.2) rear camera with BSI sensor, PDAF and Dual tone LED flash.
